Our Mission
FBC exists to glorify God by making lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ both locally and around the world. What that means practically is that we are committed to helping people know Christ personally, grow in their relationship with Him and effectively share their faith with others.
Our history
In 1955, a group of mill workers transferred to Lewes from Seaford. In addition to their families, they brought with them the desire for a church that would esteem and teach the Word of God. Shortly after, they purchased the property and built the red-brick building in which the church now meets at the gateway to Lewes. As we celebrate 70 years together, we are thankful to be able to say that we stand on the same convictions regarding the authority of God's Word as our founders.
Our values
The way we carry out our mission is shaped by our values. We hope that as you spend time with us you will see that we prioritize: systematic expositional preaching, scripturally informed prayer, heartfelt corporate worship, a plurality of godly leaders, meaningful membership, and joyful service, with the gospel at the center of it all.
